Throughout his distinguished career, Andrew has held various senior leadership positions, including directorships within the Liberty Health group of companies. His extensive leadership experience, encompassing two years in Australia and a decade with the Netcare group in South Africa, has shaped his deep expertise in the healthcare domain.

As the CEO of Medscheme Holdings since September 2023, Andrew is driving the organisation forward with his strategic vision and executive acumen. His skills in executive management, leadership, and business strategy are pivotal in shaping the company’s trajectory. With a robust background in the private hospital sector, coupled with a focus on healthcare strategy, Andrew is poised to make a significant impact on the delivery of Medscheme’s health strategy.

Andrew’s track record of leadership excellence, coupled with his comprehensive skill set in areas such as healthcare industry dynamics, executive management, and strategic planning, underscores his commitment to advancing healthcare initiatives. His tenure at Liberty Health, marked by achievements in strategy development, financial modeling, and financial analysis, sets the stage for continued success in his current role as the CEO of Medscheme Holdings.

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management from the University of Western Cape, Mujeeb has continually enhanced his leadership skills through programs like the Leadership Advance Programme at the University of Cape Town and the CEO Programme at the Said Business School – University of Oxford.

Throughout his tenure at Discovery Health, Mujeeb effectively managed an annual budget of R1,2BN, leading 3200 team members across the South African geography. His passion for customer experience was evident in his achievement of outstanding 90% customer satisfaction ratings across member, broker, and health professional channels since 2015. Notably, he received the CCMG Award for Best Contact Centre in the world in 2021.

Mujeeb is adept at financial management, strategic planning, and change management. He has successfully implemented process improvement initiatives, achieving an average of 10% Opex reduction year on year since 2017.

Prior to his current position, Mujeeb served as a Service Executive at Prudential Health, where he facilitated the seamless transition of the SA business to London within nine months and developed retention and engagement plans for SA-based staff. His career journey includes various leadership roles, showcasing his ability to align teams with strategic objectives and deliver exceptional results in the healthcare industry.

Dr Mike Marshall is an accomplished healthcare professional with over three decades of experience in clinical practice and healthcare management. He graduated with an MBChB from the University of Cape Town in 1989 and began his career in clinical practice, working across both public and private sectors locally and abroad for 15 years.

He joined AfroCentric Group over 15 years ago and currently serves as Executive Manager: Research and Product Development. Since November 2020, he has led the development and implementation of innovative healthcare solutions, driving the delivery of efficient, value-based healthcare in the private sector.

Prior to his current role, Dr Marshall served as a Group Functional Specialist at Medscheme Holdings, where he focused on disease management businesses, including HIV disease management (AfA) and active disease risk management. He also worked as an independent healthcare consultant, advising on strategies to strengthen collaboration between healthcare professionals and funders – a key component in transitioning to sustainable, value-based healthcare systems.

Earlier in his AfroCentric career, he was General Manager: Healthcare Professional Relations and Contracting at Medscheme, where he oversaw healthcare professional risk management strategies and the establishment of provider networks. His earlier roles also included providing clinical and health risk input for new business development and managing a successful private medical practice.

Throughout his career, Dr Marshall has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving healthcare delivery through strategic innovation and collaboration, making a lasting impact on the healthcare landscape.

Prior to his current role, Dr Mohamood served as Division Director at Liberty Health, where he led clinical risk initiatives across multiple African countries, including the rollout of an AI nurse triage model in Uganda and Mozambique. Earlier in his career, he held a key role at Medscheme as Manager: Healthcare Professional Networks, where he contributed to the development and implementation of provider networks and care programs for schemes such as Fedhealth, Bonitas, and GEMS.

He holds an MBChB and MBA from the University of Cape Town and is known for his integrative leadership style and a strong track record of solving complex healthcare challenges.

Satish is the former Head of Sanlam Pan Africa’s Motor Insurance division, where he was responsible for executing significant regional partnerships and growing the motor insurance portfolios across East & Southern Africa. He also served on the boards of FBN GI (Nigeria) and Grand-Reinsurance (Zimbabwe) as Sanlam’s representative non-executive director. Following this stint in the Pan-African environment and prior to joining AfroCentric, Satish oversaw strategy development for the Sanlam Group, Africa’s largest non-banking financial services group, where he guided strategic reviews and translated these into actionable initiatives.

As a qualified actuary (FIA UK), Satish holds a robust understanding of insurance and financial principles. Complementing this expertise is his completion of an Executive MBA from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, a testament to his commitment to continuous learning and leadership development.

His educational background, coupled with his extensive professional journey, underscores his strategic acumen and proficiency in navigating complex financial landscapes, positioning him as an adept leader in the financial services arena.

Fezeka joins the AfroCentric Group from Concor Construction (previously Murray & Roberts Construction), where she held several positions including Senior Executive: Business Development and Stakeholder Engagement, Project Development Executive and Strategic Planning Executive/Manager in the Office of the CEO.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Natal University, an Honours degree in Leadership from Stellenbosch Business School, and an MBA from Henley Business School. Additionally, he has earned a leadership certification from Harvard University, further solidifying his commitment to personal and professional development.

Throughout his career, Ashley has amassed a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise across various technical disciplines, evidenced by his numerous certifications. His leadership experience spans the full spectrum of technology in multinational companies, including some of the largest financial institutions, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies, and professional organizations.

This breadth of experience has equipped him with the unique ability to navigate complex challenges and drive strategic initiatives.

As a seasoned Chief Information Officer (CIO), Ashley has been at the forefront of digital transformation programs across the African continent. His ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams across Europe has not only enhanced operational efficiencies but also fostered innovation within the organizations he has served.
